Si el top-100 sirve para entrar en el idioma, el top-500 ya amplía mucho la comprensión. Aquí no aparecen solo las formas más básicas, sino también muchas palabras que salen constantemente en conversaciones normales, noticias, vídeos, interfaces, instrucciones y mensajes. Es una transición muy útil entre el vocabulario mínimo y un inglés cotidiano mucho más operativo.
Qué grupos de palabras son especialmente importantes aquí
palabras para tiempo, cantidad y orden: first, next, already, always, never;
adjetivos y adverbios cotidianos: important, different, young, together, often;
conectores y palabras funcionales sin las que cuesta captar el sentido general.
Cómo estudiar este vocabulario frecuente en inglés
No intente memorizar las 500 palabras seguidas. Divídalas en bloques de 20 o 30, agrúpelas por tipo de palabra y páselas enseguida a frases cortas. Luego vuelva a ellas en el diálogo y en la práctica. Así se pasa mucho más rápido del reconocimiento al uso real.
